A-Z Review Re-platforming (Angular to React)

Context

The A-Z Review is a key tool used by ANZ Branch bankers to guide side-by-side, needs-based conversations with customers.

It helps identify financial products and services aligned to customer goals. Originally built in Angular and housed in ANZ data centres (which were being decommissioned), the tool needed urgent re-platforming to React and migration to the cloud to meet security requirements.

As Chapter Lead, Banker Experience, I:

Coordinated with distributed engineering teams in Melbourne and Bangalore.
Ran workshops with branch bankers nationwide to identify pain points and opportunities.
Recommended adoption of the ANZ Design System, ensuring accessibility and reducing build effort.
Collaborated with change managers to minimise disruption for bankers.
Secured governance approvals and stakeholder alignment.

Successfully re-platformed into React and migrated to the cloud under tight deadlines.
Pilot feedback from bankers has been highly positive: reporting clearer information, time savings, and improved customer conversations.
Rollout is currently underway across the branch network.
